Kṣraum (“Narasiṁha lullaby“) | Official lyrics video

Contemporary rendition of Narasiṁha aṣṭakam, a Sanskrit poem in praise of Lord Narasiṁha, composed by Paramahaṁsa Yati Jīyār. More about the song & full lyrics below: “Kṣraum“ is a bīja-mantra for Narasiṁha. Bīja-mantras are said to be the sound forms of the Deity they represent, containing all of that Deity’s potency, and are widely used in formal worship and meditation. This poem is composed in a prosodic meter called Indu-vadanā, in which every line is 11 syllables long.
