Pitch glue : Staghorn Sumac resin , “prehistoric“ micro stove

[2011 10 22] Once again, my arrows require some maintenance and I need more of my favorite primitive glue (natural adhesive). I’ll use a very small “prehistoric“ micro portable stove to “cook“ Staghorn sumac resin, after collecting a small quantity of it. - gathering staghorn sumac resin and service tree fruits, - enhancing the clay “micro stove“ (increase air flow), - friction fire (bow drill : hazel on elder, amadou, leaves, limpet shell as handhold), - cooking the resin, - cooking and eating a fruit .
