Advancing with Watercolor: Tonal Values “The Band Played On“

This is a video done as a supplement to a watercolor class taught by Gary Tucker in Boston. This is painting done to demonstrate using a light against dark tonal value pattern. In the previous example we used a dark painting of figures - the cheese vendor against a light background. Today highlighted musicians against a dark dramatic background .
