The Erised - Take Me

Ukrainian Music News Cool, calm and collected are Ukrainian six-piece outfit, The Erised, who continue to excite since signing exclusively to the London label, Med School, late last year. The band’s impressive debut release, the “Desire” EP, included the supremely popular “Pray” and “It’s Over”, which helped establish a core following amongst music fans across Europe and beyond. 9 months later and they are back with their second release, offering the same level of craft and imagination. First catching attention of a live audience in Kiev, as well as YouTube viewers across the world, “In My Car” is a downbeat discovery that infuses front-woman Sonya’s soulful vocals, contorted and chopped up alongside a mellow mixture of crisp beats and revamped 80’s style synth work. In a similar vein is B-side, “Take Me”, bridging brooding lyricism with broken beats, warped stabs, whirling instrumentation and wobbling bass.
