Hungarian FM Szijjarto said it was “physically impossible” to ensure his country’s energy security without Russian energy imports. He made this remark at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Thursday during a visit to Russia. Szijjarto added the preparations for next winter must begin as soon as possible. During the four-day economic forum, Russia’s top economic officials, discussed those who had left the country last year, both companies and individuals. On the same day, at a briefing taking place on the sidelines of the forum, Russian FM spokeswoman Zakharova said the country’s nuclear deterrence policy is purely defensive.
