Историческое финское название горы - Папинмякки. Горой Священника местные жители стали называть гору в честь отца Авраама, настоятеля Никольского Храма на острове Риеккалансаари. В его же честь и тропа туда названа тропой отца Авраама. The historical Finnish name of the mountain is Papinmäkki. Local residents began to call the mountain the Mountain of the Priest in honor of Father Abraham, the rector of St. Nicholas Temple on the island of Riekkalansaari.
