Anyone who was a 70s child knows this great song from the Commodores 1977 self-titled fourth album. It was written by the immensely talented Lionel Ritchie. It’s kind of a bummer song as he’s leaving his amazing woman to be free, but it’s an awesome ballad. Time changes, key who does NOT love that screaming solo? Yep, it’s there at 2:49. You MUST listen to this whole thing as it features a killer bridge, lead-in to the solo and the solo itself. Then there’s the key change near the end. Just awesome. Guitar is tuned down one half step.
