Jonathan used to study Doves songs and make covers of them when he was learning to make music. He used to wait outside Doves shows, trying to meet the band members - he never got to meet Jimi until they made this track together. The lyrics are about being your own parent or friend, instead of running around looking for everyone to do that for you. Video was filmed at a campground outside Pittsburgh, PA
