EST Gee - Lick Back - Live Session | Vevo Ctrl. Louisville, Kentucky’s Clarksville projects are just south of the Ohio River, just east of the Second Street Bridge, where Muhammed Ali stood tall and heaved his Olympic Gold Medal into the murky waters below in a protest against the racism surrounding him. Est Gee came up in the Clarksville grid, and his tough sound, brimming with the kind of swag Ali was famous for, grabs you and shakes you around a bit. There’s poise and balance at play, but from last year’s “Special Remix“ ft. Moneybagg Yo to the recent “Ball Forever,“ an ornery vibe underlies his approach. Trouble has been part of Gee’s life, and everything he spits has a rough it’s all dope as hell. At the age of 26, that sound is probably here to stay, and in the last year, Gee’s been getting plenty of dap from rappers who like it just the way it is. Evidently 42 Dugg played a handful of Gee tracks for Lil Baby, and the “Drip Too Hard"
