The World’s Newest Volcanic Island; Fukutoku Okanoba Volcano in Japan

On August 16th, 2021, the Japanese Coast Guard got footage which proved something spectacular. A large volume submarine volcanic eruption had resulted in the creation of the world’s newest island. The eruption in question is still ongoing, and originated from a volcano south of the island of Iwo Jima. This video will discuss this ongoing eruption, and discuss how long this island might last.
