Quartet in D Major, I. Allegro moderato - Carl Stamitz

This lovely piece for a string quartet with a viola da gamba in place of the first violin was written by Carl Stamitz sometime in the 1780s. It’s a great example of the viola da gamba’s inclusion in late 18th century music!
