TOEFL Reading Tips & Practice | “Reword the Sentence“ Questions
Our complete course:
There are several different kinds of questions on the TOEFL Reading section, and its important to be prepared for each one of them.
In this lesson, we’re going to teach you how to answer one kind of question that you might see on the TOEFL Reading section.
The official name for these questions is “Sentence Simplification“ questions, but we’re just going to call them “Reword the Sentence“ questions.
To answer these questions, we need to choose a different wording for a sentence that occurs in the reading – that is, we need to “reword“ the sentence.
For these questions, the sentence the question is about is provided in the question. So we don’t need to look back at the passage at all in order to answer these questions. That makes these some of the easiest questions on the test, as long as we use the right methods.
And, in this lesson, we’re going to teach you exactly what those methods are.
