HOUSE MUSEUMS

There are so many house museums in Russia it’s hard to go anywhere without bumping into several. From a simple room full of title-tattle to entire estates, house museums are an insight into different times and the way artists worked and lived. More often than not, they are lovingly maintained by the artists descendants and some have achieved cult status. We visit the house museum of painter Vasnetsov and writer Bulgakov, and its only just the tip of the ice berg.
