WATCH: Trump’s full opening remarks at U.N. Security Council meeting

President Donald Trump criticized Iran and China at the start of Wednesday’s U.N. Security Council meeting over nonproliferation of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons. It was Trump’s first time leading the meeting, part of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City. In his opening remarks, the president renewed his criticism of Iranian leaders and accused China of “attempting to interfere“ in the upcoming U.S. midterm elections. Trump suggested that Chinese leaders didn’t want him to win. “They don’t want us to win, because I am the first president to challenge them on trade,“ he said.
