Fourth in the “China Today 1990“ series, 6000-year-old Xi’an, which was Marco Polo’s legendary crossroads between Europe and Asia and site of the astounding entombed warriors, reveals itself as a magnificent gem in the crown of age-old China to 14 Australians touring historic highlights of this vast country in 1990 - just after the uprising in Tiananmein Square.
