Can I Make Wing Chun Work?

I Took Wing Chun for 1 Day from @KevinLeeVlog and then I tried to use it on my own in sparring.. Is Wing Chun the most legit specialty Martial Art? Is it a valid form of Kung Fu? Is it effective?
