Orthodox Christians celebrate Epiphany with traditional swim-race in Danube

Orthodox Christians in Serbia marked Epiphany with a traditional swim in the Danube river at Zemun, a Belgrade municipality. The event began with a morning liturgy in the Temple of the Holy Father Nikolai and continued at Zemun Quay. The Epiphany race is 33 meters long, symbolizing 33 years of Jesus’ life.
