1954 Chrysler New Yorker Deluxe Walk Around

After 30-years’ ownership, I have decided it’s time to pass along my 1954 Chrysler New Yorker Deluxe that my grandparents bought in 1954. With fewer than 53,000 original miles, it’s likely the finest example extant. Always garaged and meticulously maintained; most of the paint, interior and trunk lining are original. It’s fully-loaded: chrome Kelsey Hayes wire wheels (newer); cold factory “Air Temp” A/C; Chrysler’s first fully-automatic “PowerFlite” transmission (newly rebuilt with new external cooler); 235 hp. “FirePower” Hemi 331 cu. in. V8 (this engine made these cars the fastest production cars in the world in ’54); two-tone wool broadcloth interior and original “hog’s-hair” carpeting with rear foot hassocks (from an Imperial); PB; PS; electric PWs; radio with rear speaker; windshield washers; newer wide-whitewall Diamondback radial tires; auxiliary electric fuel pump; authentic side-view mirror and “bull’s-eye” headlights; custom “Pebble Beige” top was painted by the dealer when new.
