A Chinese Long March carrier rocket blasted off from southwest China’s Sichuan Province, carrying with it two BeiDou-3 satellites on Sunday. The BeiDou-3 is a new generation of navigation satellite. It’s more compatible with other satellite navigation systems. This moves China a step closer to completing its own global navigation system, which is expected to be in place before 2020.
