“For the most epic of Fallen Kingdoms“
Misairu is back with a new Epic Orchestral Cover. Viva La Vida is a song originally from Coldplay released in the 25th of May in 2008. This has become the band’s most successful song to date (as of the upload date on this video). The song is about someone who is removed from a once prestigious position.
Multiple covers and parodies were made of Viva La Vida due to its unique instrumental and lyrics. One of the most well known of these is captainsparklez’s “Fallen Kingdom“. A Minecraft parody about a king who loses the kingdom he onced rule. It is one of the biggest Minecraft parodies at the time and now brings with it a nostalgic tear every time the final scene plays. Stick to the end of the video for a homage to the said Minecraft Parody.
This was also made as a legitimate cover with vocals by my friend Kjiel Abellera. He was the lead and I was singing bass to this orchestral arrangement. It was a more personal project so we put it somewhere else.
[SPOILERS]
This is the second Misairu third generation orchestral cover, Utilising new instruments and techniques. A plethora of strings begin the piece with a similar beat to the original. Then in Misairu fashion, The signature trailer style orchestral intro plays it’s roaring entrance, Hinting to what’s to come.
The first melody of the lyrics is played by the Horns followed by the Violins and Violas. Then the drums kick in signaling the chorus. A sudden shift leaves only the strings, Then another sudden strike came as the drums and brass return.
A Glockenspiel continues the melody with the rest of the orchestra complimenting it. The second chorus begins with the Horns playing along with the Strings. As the bridge approaches the Strings remain as Jerusalem Bells can be heard ringing. Then the Roman Cavalry Choir begins singing, building up to the final chorus whilst holding a sword and shield. Then all instruments are played for a thunderous entrance for the finale as if they were Missionaries in a Foreign Field.
The finale concludes with a strike of thunder the last of the choir singing. As if we reminisce a past version of ourselves who were on top of the world. Though of course, That was when we ruled the land.
