Do I need a booster for my large Marklin Digital Layout?

Large layouts do not always need boosters. The need for a booster is more dependent on the amount of power consumers on your layout, versus the output capacity of your controller. Some of your power consumers are: -Moving locomotives (big drain) -Standing (parked) locomotives -Cars with interior lights -Turnout lights and bumper lights connected to track power.
