“The Cup“ - And The Prince! (1932)

Full title reads: “Newcastle. ’The Cup’ - and the Prince! Thirty two thousand Newcastle fans ’rend the skies’ with their cheers in great demonstration of pride for the Cup victors & delight at the Prince’s spontaneous visit.“ Newcastle-on-Tyne, Tyne and Wear. Football’s FA Cup is carried out of the tunnel at St. James’ Park on a small stretcher by two policemen. A massive crowd is gathered to see the Cup. The Cup, with its escort of police is paraded around the edge of the pitch for all the crowd to see. The Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII, Duke of Windsor) is being introduced to line up of Newcastle United football team in their traditional black and white striped shirts. (Very quick shot).
