Hyundai has just revealed its latest iteration of the Santa Cruz Sport Adventure Vehicle, marking a significant update for the 2025 model year. This announcement was made at the prestigious New York International Auto Show and was complemented by a digital unveiling. Hyundai’s design and executive teams, including Brad Arnold, José Muñoz, and Olabisi Boyle, highlighted the vehicle’s extensive updates and emphasized its strategic importance to Hyundai’s product lineup, underscoring the company’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
The 2025 Santa Cruz distinguishes itself with a host of enhancements both inside and out. Notably, the vehicle boasts a redesigned exterior and interior, cutting-edge infotainment systems, and advanced driver assistance features. Set to hit dealerships in the summer, this model was conceived in California, encapsulating a blend of bold design and functionality.
A focal point of the new Santa Cruz is the XRT trim, which elevates the vehicle’s off-road capabilities with features such as all-terrain tires, front tow hooks, and an improved approach angle. The trim also introduces exclusive aesthetic elements like XRT-specific front and rear bumper fascias, a new grille design, and unique 18-inch wheels.
Internally, the Santa Cruz steps up with a panoramic curved display that integrates both a driver information cluster and an audio-video navigation system, each spanning 12.3 inches. The design refresh extends to practical enhancements, including more intuitive center stack controls and increased storage options, enhancing the vehicle’s ergonomics and utility.
Technological advancements are at the forefront, with Hyundai introducing wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto across all trims, alongside Over the Air updates for software and firmware. Additional features such as Hyundai Pay, a digital key, and a fingerprint scanner, alongside new safety technologies, position the Santa Cruz as a leader in connected and secure driving experiences.
Under the hood, the Santa Cruz offers two powertrain options: a standard direct-injected engine and a more powerful turbocharged variant, both designed to deliver a blend of power and efficiency. The introduction of a new towing mode for models equipped with the turbocharged engine highlights the vehicle’s utility and performance capabilities.
With its comprehensive updates and new features, the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz is set to redefine the Sport Adventure Vehicle segment, offering an enticing mix of design, technology, and performance.
