Panels are being 3D printed and will soon be heading to the “Bucky Dome“ in Carbondale, IL as Mighty Buildings works to construct a state-of-the-art 3D printed Visitor Center at the R. Buckminster Fuller Dome Home using our Mighty Kit System.
At the heart of the Mighty Buildings process is our patented proprietary LUMUS™ panel material that is stronger yet lighter than concrete and far more sustainable. Composed of 60% sustainably sourced & recycled materials, this composite stone uses less material helping us to move closer to our goal of a zero-waste production process. Our parametric panels are insulated and milled in-house so that they arrive ready for installation.
We’ll be sharing more updates on the RBF Visitor Center in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
