Borodin Quartet play Shostakovich String Quartet no. 7 - video 1982

The Borodin Quartet playing Shostakovich’s String Quartet no. 7, op. 108, from a 1982 documentary which I’ve also uploaded. A small section of the allegro of the third movement was cut out for some reason. Although the shots of the crowd are from a Borodin recital, the performance appears to have been staged. The quartet at that time were Mikhail Kopelman, Andrei Abramenkov, Dmitri Shebalin and Valentin Berlinsky. Квартет имени Бородина - Шостакович
