Home was Kian Soltani’s critically acclaimed debut for Deutsche Grammophon. An homage to his Austrian and Persian roots where he presented works by his favourite composers - Schubert and Schuman - the album also featured the world premiere recording of Iranian composer Reza Vali’s Persian Folk Songs. Now Kian Soltani presents a brand new track from this project as he partners again with pianist Aaron Pilsan: the beautiful song by Franz Schubert ’Du bist die Ruh’. “It’s a unique feeling to know a place precisely”, he explains. “The colours, the air, the fragrance. That’s home. This same basic feeling is evoked by music, by certain composers.
