When we go through difficulty, we can find the pearl that is formed from the challenge — the gift that lies in the shadow. Sometimes, in order to feel the love within our hearts, the walls we put around ourselves must be broken down. 💜 Before I went in to record, a friend shared with me that they are going through a rough time of separating from a long-term relationship and letting go of the child that they helped raise. As a mother, I felt so much compassion and asked if I could carry their heart with me as I sang this song for anyone else that is going through a rough time.
