Born in Odessa, she began playing the piano at the age of four. As a highly gifted piano student, she was accepted at the famous Stolyarsky Music School, where artists such as Emil Gilels and David Ois-trakh had been trained. After graduating from high school, she was taught at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. She deepened her education with a postgraduate degree for piano soloists at the University Mozarteum Salzburg. Since 2016 Olga Chelova has been a “Young Steinway Artist”. In 2019, she received the “International grant for highly gifted artists” from the Ernst Ludwig Studienwerk (ELES) in Berlin.
