Mississippi’s Historic Floods Are Forcing Hundreds to Flee Their Homes

Mississippi’s Pearl River reached 36.7 feet Monday, its third-highest level ever. More than 500 people across the state evacuated their homes after police went door-to-door. Gov. Tate Reeves also begged residents to “get out while you can” and declared a state of emergency Saturday.
