Homemade Welding Machine - Simple Cordless Welding Machine 200A I made this welding machine from two old car bateries and alternator. The way this machine works is very simple, engine is powering alternator and alternator generates 24 volts ac, then regulator converts it to 24v dc and charges batteries. Its almost same in any car or motorcycle. Im using only one phase of alternator ( -500W) but best choice is to use 24 V alternator. Welding rods: Amps: - 200A
