Israel has fired on areas of Yemen held by the Houthis, thought to be the first time it has carried out an airstrike on the country.
The Israel Defence Forces claimed responsibility for the strikes, which occurred 26 hours after the Iran-backed militia launched a drone that exploded over Tel Aviv on Friday morning, killing one civilian.
Among the targets was a large oil-refinery in Hodeidah, Yemen’s fourth-largest city and the main port used by the Houthis.
