French President Emmanuel Macron has decided to keep Prime Minister Gabriel Attal in office for now. Attal had previously indicated that he would tender his resignation, although he added that he was willing to continue in the position on an interim basis, but said the decision lay with the President. The final result of the French election is reported to be: New Popular Front: 180, Ensemble: 159, National Rally: 142.
