Skyscraper ’death ray’ melts car with building glare in London

Car melting: A UK man’s Jaguar XJ was damaged after light reflected off a London skyscraper dubbed the “Walkie Talkie“ melted the panels and rear view mirror on the car. The building, which is under construction at 20 Fenchurch Street, reportedly reflects blinding rays of light into the street, which also apparently damages cars by concentrating a lot of heat into one area. Martin Lindsay said he had parked his car in the street for about two hours, and returned to find that the wing mirror and badge
