Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Zimbabwe’s capital Harare to start a five-day visit to Zimbabwe and South Africa. During his stay, Xi will meet with Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe. The leaders are expected to chart the course for advancing the friendly ties between their countries. Agreements between the two nations also are expected to be signed in the areas of infrastructure, agriculture and transport. Xi and a large Chinese delegation will then travel on to Johannesburg on Wednesday, ahead of the sixth Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
