Biden Picks Hollywood Fundraiser, Russia Claims Its Allies Snubbed Zelensky On Ukraine Peace Summit

The Biden administration has confirmed that the US president will not be attending an upcoming summit in Switzerland on the Ukraine conflict. The US will instead send Vice President Kamala Harris to the summit. Her spokesperson Kirsten Allen said “Vice President Kamala Harris will travel to Lucerne, Switzerland on June 15”. The visit “will underscore the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to supporting Ukraine’s effort to secure a just and lasting peace”, Allen said. Allen also confirmed that National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan would be joining Harris at the conference at the Burgenstock resort.
