From Me: Stunning is how I would describe Sarah Cothran’s cover of “As The World Caves In“. Not gunna lie, I cried when I first heard this song on tik tok. Saw the lazy anime edit that was running with the tune and thought damnnnnnnn WHAT A VOICE! Immediately I began thinking of what anime could cover the themes of the song, the love and pain in her voice, and ultimately the hope to carry on despite the circumstances. Evangelion was a clear winner, with all the apocalyptic imagery, unfulfilled romance, and the cinematic drama to bring it all together. On a philosophical note: I think this is what makes us human.
