Closeness: A Documentary About Kalaparusha Maurice McIntyre

This is a documentary short film about Kalaparusha Maurice McIntyre. He is an American free jazz tenor saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist. After his 1981 live album, McIntyre recorded very little, playing on the streets and in the subways of New York. He is recording his final album entitled “Closeness“ in the middle of January 2010. It is dedicated to his wife of 20 years. This film will come out in late February after Closeness is recorded.
