Таллинский прорыв (28 августа 1941 года) до сих пор встречает неоднозначные оценки историков. Его итоги считаются плачевными именно по причине колоссальных потерь – и людских, и кораблей и судов. Ценой огромных жертв все же удалось вывести из Таллина большую часть эвакуируемых кораблей и людей и спасти их от уничтожения или захвата наступающими гитлеровцами. _______________________________________________________________________ The Tallinn breakthrough is still met with mixed assessments by historians. Its results are considered deplorable precisely because of the colossal losses – both human, and ships and vessels. At the cost of huge sacrifices, it was still possible to withdraw most of the evacuated ships and people from Tallinn and save them from destruction or capture by the advancing Nazis.
