Dramatic & Cinematic Top Down Lighting Setup Tutorial (Litepanels Gemini, Astra 6X, & Lykos)

In this video I show you how to create a dramatic and cinematic look using traditional top down lighting with some extra flare. Lighting your subject from overhead is a simple and classic way to create drama and is used a lot to imply an oppressive or mysterious feeling. I’m using the Litepanels Gemini 1x1, Astra 6X, and Lykos panel lights, but you can recreate this look using COB lights or other panels at a lower budget. One of my favorite things about this setup is how flexible it is, since you can use anything from a single, bare light to a complete multi-light setup with external diffusion panels.
