According to paperwork it showed, in the manner of a Victorian silent melodrama, a man fed up with eating cold sausage and pickles night after night. He storms out to the pub and returns later in a drunken state. The remaining section shows the man sitting down to eat some potatoes cooked by his wife. The wife and their daughter stand by anxiously, but he seems to be enjoying them. Intertitle reads: “Emmaline, can you ever forgive me? These potatoes are delicious!“. His wife replies in intertitle “..and there are 199 other ways of cooking them.“ The family join hands and pose in a stylised way to signify a happy ending.
