Roger Waters - Get Back to Radio (Demo Recording) (HQ Audio)

During 1985 Roger began work on what was to become his second solo album Radio KAOS. He began by reminiscing about his childhood and past. The first song he wrote, “Get Back To Radio,” was a ballad which was not even on the final work. As Roger describes it, “…thematically it was about growing older and wondering whether I was any good anymore. That was the first I had started writing about any of this stuff. …that triggered something in me that allowed other things to come out. It started me thinking about my relationship to radio…”, Remembering how he used to listen to the Radio alone at night. Listening to Radio Luxembourg and the US Military radio. Listening to American blues and jazz from little known black artists. The Radio was an escape for Roger and his generation, a way to obtain communication and information from the world outside. This was the song that began the theme of Roger’s concept album Radio KAOS.
