Hannibal as Dark Academia

The Hannibal series: Does it revolve around the pursuit of self-discovery? Check. Is it dark? Check. Is it gay? Check! I watched a lot of videos with dark academia’s books/movies/shows recommendations and no one was talking about this show! Honestly, I know it is not 100% DA and if it is, it’s mostly visuals. However, I always enjoyed the show even before the DA was a thing. Now, that I found out about this esthetic it all comes together.
