Naga Munchetty, the popular host of BBC Breakfast and BBC Radio 5 Live, has received an outpouring of praise and admiration from her fans and followers after she posted a photo of herself in a hospital bed on Instagram. The photo, which showed Naga smiling and giving a thumbs up while hooked up to a blood donation machine, was accompanied by a caption that read: “Good morning! @bbcbreakfast work done. Now giving a little bit of me to hopefully make someone’s day a bit better in the future. @givebloodnhs.” (sic) The 48-year-old journalist, who had just finished hosting the morning show with Charlie Stayt, explained in a video that she had decided to donate blood after her shift and encouraged others to do the same. She said: “I’ve just done the breakfast shift and I’ve just nipped into the donor centre to give some blood. It will be over in about 10 or 15 minutes. I’m feeling good.
