Taking apart a military grade ADATA external drive to recover data

My computer no longer recognized my ADATA HD710 1 TB external drive, and the blue led status light of the drive was constantly lighting when I plugged it into the computer. I decided to take the ADATA case apart to check if the drive still works. Luckily, the drive turned out to be functional, and I could recover all my data by connecting via its SATA port. Only, the ADATA HDMI to SATA converter stopped functioning.
