The Classical BRIT Awards 2008 sponsored by NS&I were held at the Royal Albert Hall in the presence of HRH The Duke of Kent on Thursday 8th May. The orchestra was the London Chamber Orchestra conducted by David Charles Abell. The nominations launch was held at the MayFair Hotel in the Crystal Ballroom on Tuesday 8th April with performances from Laurence Power, Blake and Jonathan Ansell. The show was hosted by Myleene Klass with performances from Andrea Bocelli & Sarah Brightman, Danielle de Niese, Steven Isserlis, Josh Groban, David Garrett & Valeriy Sokolov & Xuefei Yang, Hayley Westenra & Jonathan Ansell, Sarah Brightman & Andrew Swaite and Andrea Bocelli & Anna Netrebko.
