Show full description for a list of differences compared to the original I’ve noticed. Apologies, there’s an annoying ambient sound in some Port of Adia scenes, forgot to turn it off.
I’m glad I got this from Steam, the Remaster of Turok 2 Seed of Evil is closer to the N64 version. Differences I’ve seen vs original:
- Visible Mission Objectives, even through walls. This is great! I was
finally able to finish those annoyingly gigantic levels!
- Big Cheat is like the N64 version, not PC version, new cheats.
- Remade blood splatters, game is even bloodier now.
- Second zombie-type from console was re-added to the game.
(they were the reason I knew the PC version was different!)
- Zombies can be shot in half. Nice! I remember that from N64.
- Spiders, Mantids and Robots bleed green, like in N64.
- Fire Entrail limbs can be shot off.
- Small versions of some enemies were added.
- A second Raptor type was added, looks like in Turok 1.
- Dead enemies don’t bounce when hit (maybe censored in my ver.)
- When enemies block a Cerebral Bore, it falls to the ground
- Mother Boss got buffed, spawns new enemies and Mantid Mites
- Arrows stuck in Mother Boss disappear during cutscenes. Aww.
- Model viewer with unlockable character models.
Negative things I’ve noticed:
- Shotgun sounds different and kinda strange.
- AI acts really stupid when enemies aggro each other
- Raizor Wind gets stuck even harder, super annoying indoors
- When you kill Primagen, his head wound is a flat texture instead.
- I’m pretty sure burning enemies turn darker in the original.
- Enemies slide around when nuked, looks really weird.
- Armored Mantids can’t lose their head, not sure if that’s normal.
- Map still sucks, doesn’t highlight anything (especially portals).
