One of the most brutal and horrific concentration camps of the Second World War was Bergen-Belsen. It was staffed by many evil guards such as Irma Grese and Josef Kramer who became notorious for their involvement in crimes against humanity and execution. It was a site where there was a huge amount of torture and suffering, as prisoners were left to succumb to disease and starvation. But at the end of the conflict, there was a set of trials that took place to bring those former guards of Bergen-Belsen to trial.
