“Die Hard 5“ enemy gunship scene filming over Budapest

In 2012 Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation began filming the Die Hard 5 “A good day to Die Hard“ Hollywood movie. Many scenes in the story takes place in Russia. For these scenes the production team chose places in Hungary. In the movie there is a schene when Bruce Willis (John McClane) is being chased by a combat helicopter. In real life this helicopter was from Hungarian Army. Number 335 Mil Mi-24P was one of the two Mi-24s in Hungarian Army which was still operated 2012 summer. The helicopter normally stationed in MH86 Combat Helicopter base, Szolnok. Mil Mi-24 is the feared combat helicopter in the world, comes from CCCP. It is a large helicopter gunship and attack helicopter and low-capacity troop transport with room for eight passengers. It is produced by Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and operated since 1972 by the Soviet Air Force, and more than 30 other nations.
