US lawmakers in spat over anti-gay law in Uganda as nation resists pressure
A US Democratic congressman has slammed a Republican lawmaker who recently travelled to Uganda to speak out in support of the African country’s anti-gay legislation. According to Democrat Dan Kildee, GOP House member Tim Walberg has been, quote, ’using our offices to promote divisiveness and hate’.
Speaking in Uganda back in October, Walberg urged the East African nation to stand firm in defiance of Western pressure over its laws.
To discuss this, RT talks to Pastor Martin Ssempa, Ugandan pro-family figure and founder of the Straight Nation organization.
