Written by Eric Carmen and produced by Jimmy Ienner From the album, “Starting Over”. “Overnight Sensation (Hit Record)” took the Raspberries back to the Top-20 in 1974. The related album, “Starting Over” also included “Cruisin’ Music” and featured a new line-up, with Scott McCarl and Michael McBride in, replacing Jim Bonfanti and Dave Smalley, who had left the previous year. The Raspberries broke up in 1975 with Eric Carmen launching a solo career, beginning with “All By Myself” later that year. Famed producer, Jimmy Ienner, worked with Eric Carmen and also with the Bay City Rollers, Lighthouse, Three Dog Night and Grand Funk.
